After the funeral of Freddie Gray riots erupted in Baltimore. Stores were looted and fifteen officers were injured two in critical condition. These things are starting to get old were riots are happening because a black man is killed by a white officer obviously it is a terrible thing but this has happened before in the past and has not been blow up to this size and received this much public attention. There are also many black on black killings and other races killing blacks it's not just whites and blacks. Gangs were even claiming to work together to kill officers, these gangs being bloods, crips, and black guerrilla family. If gangs are working together this is pretty serious, but I still don't understand because I'm sure in the 1990s this happened too but did not receive this news attention and rioting. Obviously white on black violence is a terrible thing but I feel like tensions are really high between races right now for some reason and every little thing said is considered racist and you have to be very careful of what you say. Cops are also under heavy scrutiny by news and citizens and have to very careful around people because many people hate cops right now which makes their job very hard. I do not understand why these things have to be such a big deal I mean if a man is killed by police in Omaha it does not make national news so unless we do this with every person killed by a police officer it should not happen

ISIS Converging on Iraw
ISIS forces have really started pushing into Iraq more recently. Many families have been forced to leave their homes and travel to a safer part of Iraq. Many people have been shot and are injured and ISIS uses mortars and rockets to attack so many people's houses have been destroyed. Resistance fighters do not have any backup so they cannot hold off ISIS for long when they enter the city, also while the reporters were in a hospital the security there said they were not receiving help from Baghdad and they were frustrated with that. This is a terrible group moving through the Middle East and it is sad that the US is not doing much to try to stop them, but the people there should be helping each other and protecting each other. They all have a common enemy they should be trying to stop so they should help one another. If they each try to bring down ISIS by themselves they will not be able to do it and ISIS will prevail. These groups need to work together and protect each other from ISIS. People think that other countries should intervene and they should but if they do not see the Middle East trying to protect itself and working together and protecting one another then it would be hard to help because they would have to pick which country or area or group to protect and it could cause issues after this crisis. Other countries should be offering help and trying to get involved because if ISIS prevails then they have a bigger issue than a force attempting to take over the Middle East they have the Middle East taken over and then they have to liberate the Middle East. If they can get other countries to provide more support and the Middle East to work together to stop ISIS then it would be easy and they would not be a problem for much longer.

Shooting
Recently there was a shooting in which a white officer shot and killed an unarmed black man. This traffic event happened April 8th and it started when the black man was pulled over for a traffic violation. The video shows the two talked but what is being said cannot be heard. Something causes the black man, Walter Scott, to run and the officer, Michael Slanger, to pull his weapon and shoot and kill Scott. Officer Slanger claimed that he had his taser pointed at him and Scott wrestled him for the weapon and Officer Slanger reached for his pistol and shot him. In reality Scott ran from Officer Slanger and was shot. This was captured on video and Officer Slanger is shown dropping something near the body some think it is the taser to set the scene. This is a terrible event and it gives police officers a bad name that they are racists and kill blacks. I know many police officers and my dad is a retired sergeant and most of them are great people, who truly have the safety of the public in mind but there are a very small percentage of officers who do terrible things like this. The public response harkened back to Ferguson and opened almost healed wounds. I don't think this is similar to Ferguson this man was running from the cop and in Ferguson the man was charging the cop and bashed him in the face. Scott was also fifty years old and Michael Brown was in his twenties and had previously robbed a store and had been involved in gang activities. Overall I think these events do not do any good in society giving officers a bad name and making the African American population feel more persecuted and scared of someone who is supposed to protect them.

Germanwings Plane Crash
I am Henry Diers. I am the oldest in my family of 3. I have a younger brother in 8th grade and a younger sister in 4th grade. We also have two dogs one black Labrador who is five years old and a west highland terrier who is eight years old. My family does not travel much except once a year we go to Steamboat, Colorado and we go skiing there over winter break. In the future I would like to become a physical therapist and open a powerlifting gym. Some of my hobbies are martial arts and powerlifting. In martial arts I have a second degree black belt in taekwondo and a purple belt in escrima. I have been doing martial arts for 11 years and I am also an assistant instructor. This was also my first year powerlifting and I tied for first and took second by body weight at state. My best lifts are three hundred twenty five pound squat a one hundred eighty pound bench press and a three hundred forty pound deadlift. I lifted in the one hundred twenty three pound weight class. Some interesting facts about me are I went to two different elementary schools, I broke concrete for a black belt test, I once ate two chipotle burritos in one sitting, I can do a back flip, I can drink milk faster than I can drink water, I am only five foot six inches, I have only read the Harry Potter series once, Tupac is not dead, I really like food, I can eat a lot of poptarts before passing out, cheesecake is one of my favorite foods, I like to put Frank's red hot sauce on chicken and rice, beta alanine makes my face really tingly, never take more than two scoops of creatine at once, Eminem has not been good since The Eminem Show, Pulp-Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are my favorite movies, The Office and Breaking Bad are my favorite tv shows, and 2014 Forrest Hills Drive and To Pimp a Butterfly are probably my favorite albums. That last one is probably the most important thing about so if that is all you remember that is fine.
Recently there was a very tragic event that happened in France. On Thursday March 26th a plane crashed in France. The crash deliberate too, the co-pilot took advantage of the pilot leaving the cockpit for something and locked the door and set the altitude from thirty-eight thousand feet to only one hundred feet. One hundred-fifty people were killed in the crash and the co-pilot's motive is still unknown. The co-pilot had been working with the company, Germanwings, since September 2013 and had logged over six hundred thirty hours of flight time and had no previous documented psychological issues or diseases. Although he only had 100 hours of flight experience in the type of aircraft he was flying he had all the qualifications to fly the aircraft alone.
This is a terrible event that should not have ever happened. It will be interesting to see if police and investigators ever find out why the co-pilot did what he did, because this seems very out of the blue and random. It seems like it could be a terrorist attack but nothing has been found to prove it was a terrorist attack. The co-pilot's apartment has been searched and nothing was found to link him to any terrorist organizations and they did not find anything to give a motive for the co-pilot to crash the plane. The plane's second black box has not been searched yet they are still looking for the second black box. If the black box it could shed some light on the situation and how it went down. Although right now this event is shrouded in the mystery of why it happened.
